You will only receive SMS messages from us after you have affirmatively opted in through one of the following methods:

  • Online: By checking an unchecked SMS consent box on our appointment request form at fortunataxadvisory.com.
  • In person: By signing or initialing the SMS consent section of our paper booking form at our office.
  • By phone: By giving verbal consent when staff reads our SMS disclosure during appointment confirmation. Consent is logged in our booking system.

Consent is voluntary and is not a condition of receiving tax preparation or advisory services.

Types of Messages You Will Receive

After opting in, you consent to receive the following transactional messages from RP Associates / Fortuna Tax & Advisory Corp:

  • Appointment Confirmations: Sent immediately after booking.
  • Appointment Reminders: Sent approximately 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.
  • Service-Related Messages: Other important transactional messages related to your tax preparation services.

Message Frequency & Rates

Message frequency: Approximately 2 messages per appointment (one confirmation + one reminder). Additional service-related messages may be sent only if required.

Msg & data rates may apply. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply depending on your wireless plan. We do not charge you for SMS messages we send.

Opting Out & Help

  • To opt out: Reply STOP at any time to any SMS message we send. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed and will not receive further SMS messages from us.

Privacy of SMS Information

Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are not shared with, sold to, or rented to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS purposes are used only to send the transactional messages described above.
